YOMITAN GARDEN by THE TERRACE HOTELS Opened January 20





On January 20, 2026, The Terrace Hotels will open a new multi-purpose facility in Yomitan Village, central Okinawa. Located in the former Yomitan Village Joint Sales Center, the space will be renewed as a destination combining local culture and cuisine, featuring TERRACE WITH POTTERY (a gallery and shop showcasing Yomitan craftsmanship) and Zakimi Sabo, offering Okinawan soba made with original noodles using Yomitan-grown wheat, along with sweets.

TERRACE WITH POTTERY
A cultural gallery and shop where Yomitan’s traditional craftsmanship meets a contemporary sensibility. The permanent area features works by local artists and studios from across Yomitan Village, while the special exhibition space will host seasonal showcases and events throughout the year. To mark the opening, we will present the Jiro Kinjo Kiln School Exhibition (January 20 – February 11), featuring works by the late Jiro Kinjo, who made a lasting contribution to Okinawa’s ceramic culture, along with artists who continue their creative work at the Jiro Kiln today.

Zakimi Sabo
A dining venue centered on Okinawan soba, featuring house-made noodles crafted with Yomitan-grown wheat and wood ash, along with a café menu. Dishes are served in yachimun pottery created by local Yomitan artisans, offering a new dining style that invites guests to enjoy the food, the craftsmanship, and the culture together.
